Departing early from Iquitos, you’ll travel by private ground transportation to Nauta and board a fully equipped motorboat to navigate the mighty Marañón River deep into the reserve.

Your guide meets you at your hotel or the airport. Travel by private vehicle to the city of Nauta (approximately 2 hours).
Arrive at the port of Nauta and board a fully equipped motorboat with life jackets and safety equipment. Begin navigating the Marañón River toward the protected areas of Pacaya Samiria.
Reach the control post of Yana Yacu Pucate, one of the main gateways to the reserve. Continue toward Buenos Aires community, observing birds, river dolphins, and lush riverine jungle.
