About this tour

Embark on a full-day expedition along the legendary Amazon River, departing from Iquitos at 9:30 AM. This immersive experience takes you through the Amazon River, the heart of the world’s largest rainforest, where nature, wildlife, and ancestral culture come together.

Travel downstream along the Amazon River and visit Fundo Pedrito, a local conservation project where you can observe and photograph paiche (arapaima)—one of the world’s largest freshwater fish—along with caimans, piranhas, and the impressive Victoria Regia, the largest aquatic leaf on Earth.

Continue to Neyser’s Monkey Island, a respected rescue center that shelters and rehabilitates several species of Amazonian monkeys. Then explore a Serpentarium, where you will safely observe anacondas, sloths, caimans, macaws, and other rainforest species, while also learning about medicinal plants and sampling traditional Amazonian tree-bark liqueurs.

Enjoy a delicious local Amazonian buffet lunch at a jungle lodge before visiting a Yagua Indigenous community, where you will learn about their culture, traditional clothing, dances, and ancestral worldview.

On the return journey to Iquitos, relax and witness one of the Amazon’s most magical moments: pink and grey dolphin spotting as they swim and play near the river confluence.
